Have you ever wondered what it would be like for a parent of a disabled young child? Loving that child drives you to work long, difficult hours trying to provide their needed care. Limits to your own energy and resources cause the shift in balance between your ability to keep your child home with your family and placement in an institution.
Or, have you considered being part of the 50+ population and to be faced with changes in your own abilities to care for yourself – to need the assistance of someone to help you, and no one is there?
Many people depend on SWIRCA & More. SWIRCA & More is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit that currently has a waiting list of over 790 individuals who are in need of additional family services. For every 18 people who remain living in the community, rather than placement in a long-term care facility, SWIRCA & More will save the taxpayer $1,000,000.00!
We would love to have you involved this year in our event. Please help us increase our ability to serve those who are waiting for services by taking part in the 8th Annual Southern Indiana Brewery, Winery & Spirits Festival. This event is scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at SWIRCA & More’s Ivy Room.
