OLDER AMERICAN'S ACT (TITLE III FUNDING) The Older American's Act was enacted in 1965 to provide assistance in the development of new or improved programs to help older adults in the following areas: Supportive Services and Senior Centers (includes In-Home services) Nutrition Services-Nutritionally balanced meals, nutrition education and services to older adults in a congregate or persons confined to their homes. Health Promotion and Disease Prevention-service and information provided at senior centers or appropriate sites. National Family Caregiver Program.
