Because we care...

SWIRCA & More assisted a 50 year old female
who has lived in her home for the past several
years. She experiences unsteady ambulation
because of severe osteoarthritis, degenerative
joint disease and diabetes. She does receive
assistance of homemaker services through the
CHOICE Program. The homemaker tasks she
needs assistance with are grocery shopping,
errands and housekeeping chores. Client was
also placed on the CHOICE waiting list for home repairs including a bathroom modification that would be handicapped accessible.    The Case Manager has advocated for this client to receive a bathroom modification through the SWIRCA & More Auction "Fund an Item" to assist her in living in a safe environment. This bathroom modification includes safe and stable flooring as well as a walk-in shower as shown in the picture above.
